You’ll engage clients, contribute to bids, and occasionally work on-site, shaping decarbonisation and infrastructure outcomes. Responsibilities

• Lead a team to deliver technically sound structural solutions compliant with standards and client requirements
• Prepare and check designs, calculations, drawings and documentation to meet quality, cost and programme targets
• Oversee junior staff and take responsibility for their output and actions
• Manage project budgets and cost control for deliverables
• Liaise with clients and suppliers, attend progress meetings and respond to queries
• Contribute to bids and the work-winning process
• Work on-site as required, including out-of-hours
• Act as people manager when needed by the business

Key requirements

• Building structures experience
• Experience managing a small team of engineers and technicians
• Technical leadership ensuring compliance with standards and design governance (Eurocodes and Building Regulations)
• Experience using 3D CAD software, Tekla Structural Designer and Tekla Tedds
• Experience managing quality and programme performance across multiple schemes
• Professional engagement with clients and stakeholders
• Incorporated or Chartered status or progress towards it
