Overview

In this role you will support the structuring and execution of debt financing for renewable energy assets across European markets, collaborating with investment, development and senior management. You will build and review financial models, assess financing structures, and assist with lender negotiations and financial close. You will work across acquisitions, developments and refinancings, coordinating due diligence and financing documentation. This hands-on position offers exposure to end-to-end transactions within an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment, contributing to a growing portfolio and portfolio optimisation.

Responsibilities

  • Structure and execute project and structured finance transactions for renewable energy assets
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models covering cash flows, debt capacity and returns
  • Assess financing structures (senior debt, junior debt, HoldCo, other structured capital)
  • Perform debt sizing, sensitivity and risk analysis
  • Support financing of acquisitions, developments, construction-stage projects and refinancings
  • Assist with lender selection, proposals, term sheets and negotiations with banks and capital providers
  • Coordinate financial, legal, technical, tax and commercial due diligence
  • Review and support negotiation of financing documents and commercial agreements
  • Prepare transaction analyses and recommendations for senior management and investment committees
  • Collaborate with internal teams across investment, development, and finance during execution
  • Maintain relationships with banks, debt funds, advisers and financing partners
  • Support evaluation of new financing structures and capital optimisation across the portfolio

Key requirements

  • Approximately 2–5 years’ experience in Project Finance, Structured Finance, Infrastructure Finance, Leveraged/Acquisition Finance or related field
  • Experience in a bank, renewables investor, developer, IPP, advisory firm or debt fund
  • Strong financial modelling skills with cash flow and investment returns analysis
  • Exposure to renewable energy, infrastructure or power transactions preferred
  • Understanding of project finance concepts including debt sizing, structures, covenants and close
  • Experience engaging with lenders, investors, advisers and counterparties
  • Strong analytical and commercial judgement and ability to identify risks
  • Comfortable in an entrepreneurial and fast-moving investment environment
  • Excellent communication skills across European jurisdictions
