Overview
In this role, you perform QA testing across AML and Fraud investigations, including SARs, No-File Cases, sanctions reporting, and investigations. You independently review case narratives, evidence, and outcomes to ensure completeness, accuracy, and adherence to controls. You will translate findings into actionable write-ups, escalate when needed, and deliver QA summaries with trends and improvement recommendations. You work with Compliance teams to safeguard data integrity and strengthen risk-based decisions. This position offers impact across global regulatory controls within a leading financial services firm.
Responsibilities
- Perform QA reviews of AML and Fraud Investigations (SARs and Cases) for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to internal controls
- Review case narratives, evidence, and outcomes to confirm proper identification of AML red flags, risk indicators, and typologies with clear rationale
- QA Sanctions processes to verify restrictive actions are applied and well documented
- Validate data integrity across case management systems and supporting documentation, documenting data gaps
- Identify, log, and classify QA defects; ensure write-ups are actionable and aligned to procedures
- Apply independent judgment and escalate when rationale or evidence for risk decisions is unclear
- Prepare and deliver QA summary reports to stakeholders, including defect trends and improvement recommendations
Key requirements
- Experience in Financial Crime Compliance, specifically AML and/or Fraud
- Strong research and analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities for clear testing results
- Ability to translate technical data into business reports/presentations; proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
