Managing Associate – Banking & Finance – Bristol

Overview

In this role you will manage a range of banking and finance matters for banks, lenders, investors and developers within a Top 100 UK law firm. You’ll work across Corporate, Real Estate and Private Wealth teams on multi-disciplinary deals, supporting UK and international transactions. The role combines deal leadership with mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to business development. This is a senior position offering progression and exposure to high-value, cross-border financing work.

Responsibilities

• Manage a range of banking and finance transactions from instruction through to completion
• Advise on lending arrangements, refinancing projects and debt restructurings
• Handle matters in real estate finance, acquisition finance, development funding, project finance and corporate lending
• Draft and negotiate finance documents and security arrangements
• Collaborate with Corporate, Real Estate and Private Wealth teams on multi-disciplinary transactions
• Support UK and international deals and maintain strong client relationships
• Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to team development
• Support networking, business development and client growth initiatives

Key requirements

• 7+ years’ PQE in Banking & Finance
• Experience running complex finance transactions with autonomy
• Background advising lenders, borrowers, investors or financial institutions
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills
• Strong commercial awareness and pragmatic client service
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members
• Confidence to build and maintain lasting client relationships
