Overview
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer in our Cambridge team, you will help design and mature complex instrumentation for medical devices. You’ll blend hands-on build work with rigorous design to implement gear systems and mechanisms. You will contribute across the full development lifecycle, from concept through production and manufacturing systems. You’ll work in a collaborative, technically driven environment and tackle varied, regenerative challenges that keep you engaged and learning.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex instrumentation with a focus on gear systems
- Build and test mechanical assemblies and prototypes hands-on
- Work on both team-based and independent projects
- Advance medical device concepts from inception to production and manufacturing
- Apply mechanical fundamentals in practical, regulated environments
- Contribute to full lifecycle development of complex technologies
Key requirements
- Mechanical engineering degree (leading university)
- Experience in medical devices or other highly regulated fields with complex mechanical systems
- Hands-on engineering approach with willingness to prototype and build
- Experience across design and development lifecycle, ideally from inception to production
