Overview

In this Senior Data Engineer role, you will shape the data capabilities of Immersive’s cutting-edge SaaS product. You’ll partner with data analysts and analytics engineers to deliver customer-facing insights and robust reporting. You’ll influence product decisions through data quality, modelling, and scalable pipelines. The role combines hands-on engineering with cross-functional collaboration in a fast-growing, values-driven team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain high-quality Python applications for customer-facing reporting
• Maintain and develop data pipelines to ensure data quality and consistency
• Collaborate with analytics engineers to implement data model changes
• Enable business users to access data for informed decisions
• Contribute to the development of a ground-breaking SaaS product
• Participate in Hack Weeks to explore innovative solutions

Key requirements

• Proficient in Python with experience in application development
• Experience with Plotly; Flask and SQLAlchemy are a plus
• Experience maintaining data pipelines and managing infrastructure as code
• Strong SQL skills in cloud data warehouses; performance optimization and window functions
• Experience with dbt for data transformation
• Experience with IaC tooling (Terraform or CloudFormation)
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI or Looker)
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP
