Senior/Lead Power Electronics Engineer – Power Supplies

Overview

In this role, you will lead the development of rugged power supply modules for harsh environments, supporting aerospace and defence applications. You will work within a growing engineering business to shape electrical architectures and magnetics for diverse power conversion needs. The position emphasizes end-to-end design, from system-level requirements to detailed magnetics and packaging, with a focus on delivering robust solutions. Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of digital and analogue power supply modules
• Develop, capture, and review system-level power requirements
• Design power supply magnetics, including planar magnetics
• Work across low and high power levels and frequency ranges, including isolated and non-isolated DC/DC and AC/DC conversion

Key requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Power Electronics Engineer
• Strong background in power supply design (AC/DC, DC/DC converters)
• Experience with magnetics and planar magnetics design
• Ability to define and review system-level power requirements
• Must be able to work in UK without sponsorship
