Overview
In this role you will join a leading UK Top 100 law firm’s Bristol real estate team to focus on residential development and strategic land matters. You will handle acquisitions, disposals, and development lifecycle work for developers, landowners, and related clients. The role offers high‑quality, high‑value matters with strong client exposure and progression opportunities in a collaborative environment. You will contribute to the growth of the practice while delivering commercially sound and pragmatic advice.

Responsibilities
- Advising on residential development acquisitions and disposals
- Managing strategic land matters, including promotion and option agreements
- Handling affordable housing transactions
- Drafting and negotiating development agreements and conditional contracts
- Working on overage, easements and related property arrangements
- Conducting title investigations and due diligence
- Supporting major development projects throughout their lifecycle
Key requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE in Commercial Real Estate
- Experience handling residential development and/or strategic land matters
- Strong technical knowledge and drafting ability
- Commercially focused with a pragmatic approach to client advice
- Experience working with developers, landowners, housebuilders or registered providers is desirable
- Enthusiastic about business development and building long-term client relationships
- Team-oriented with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Motivated to contribute to the continued success and growth of the team
