Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of mechanical engineers and technicians
  • Manage budgets, forecasting, and performance improvements within the team
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives across the team and wider business
  • Build and maintain client relationships and promote WSP as the engineer of choice
  • Oversee project delivery, schedules, and quality while managing resources
  • Contribute to cross-functional knowledge sharing and collaboration across global teams
  • Drive profitable, sustainable work-winning and maintain accurate work pipelines
  • Act as the client’s key point of contact and ensure excellent client care
  • Support business development and identify opportunities for additional commissions

Key requirements

  • Chartership through CIBSE/IET/IMechE Engineering Council or working towards
  • Mechanical engineering expertise in HVAC, cooling, fuel systems, controls, and energy management
  • Strong leadership and team management experience
  • Proven project management and budget management skills
  • Excellent communication, able to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Adaptability to evolving DC sector technologies and standards
  • Customer-focused approach and ability to build long-term client relationships
