Overview

As a Real Estate Solicitor, you will handle commercial property and residential investment matters, managing your own files and contributing to fee targets. You will work within an ambitious, multi-office commercial property team in Guildford, delivering high-quality client service. You’ll advise on transactions, draft and review documents, and help mitigate risks while maintaining compliance and strong file management. You’ll also help grow the client and referrer base and support practice development. This is a client-focused, growth-minded role in Surrey with opportunities to shape a thriving property book.

Responsibilities

• Advise on and progress commercial property transactions; draft and review leases, sale/purchase documents and finance-related paperwork.
• Identify and resolve legal and transactional risks; provide pragmatic, commercially focused solutions.
• Ensure AML/KYC compliance; maintain excellent file management and accurate time recording.
• Build a developing client/referrer base and spot opportunities to refer work across the firm.
• Supervise junior staff and cover for colleagues; support marketing and practice development activities.

Key requirements

• Qualified solicitor with solid commercial property experience (LPC+PSC or SQE route).
• Strong technical accuracy, commercial awareness and ability to manage multiple transactions to deadline.
