Overview

As a Managing Associate in Banking & Finance, you will lead a broad range of high-value finance transactions from inception to completion. You will work with lenders, borrowers and investors, coordinating cross-functional teams on complex deals across UK and international contexts. The role combines hands-on drafting, negotiation and mentoring to develop junior lawyers while supporting business development. You will operate within a collaborative, ambitious team known for sustainable finance, real estate and international matters, contributing to the practice’s growth and reputation. Responsibilities

  • Lead complex finance transactions from start to finish
  • Advise lenders and borrowers on new lending, refinancings and restructurings
  • Handle real estate, acquisition, development, project and corporate lending matters
  • Draft and negotiate finance documentation and security packages
  • Manage transaction workstreams and coordinate across Corporate, Real Estate and Private Wealth
  • Support domestic and cross-border transactions
  • Supervise and mentor junior lawyers
  • Contribute to business development and practice growth

Key requirements

  • 7+ years’ PQE in Banking & Finance
  • Proven track record leading complex finance transactions
  • Experience advising lenders, borrowers, investors or financial institutions
  • Strong drafting and negotiation technical skills
  • Experience supervising and developing junior lawyers
  • Strong relationship-building and client management
