Overview

In this role, you will strengthen the firm’s financial compliance across Internal Audit through targeted reviews, monitoring and data-driven testing. You will help modernise analytics, dashboards and reporting to enhance assurance and visibility. Working with Finance, Data, Legal and Financial Systems teams, you’ll develop a stronger compliance monitoring framework and deliver actionable insights. This is a cross-functional, data‑driven role with opportunities to shape how compliance is monitored and reported across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute targeted compliance reviews and monitoring focused on financial risk
  • Assess compliance with travel, expenses, billing, write-offs, payments and banking approvals
  • Perform data analysis and exception testing to identify non-compliance, gaps and trends
  • Develop data-driven monitoring techniques using analytics and automation
  • Conduct periodic user access reviews and assess segregation of duties
  • Support information security and data protection controls testing
  • Improve compliance oversight through dashboards, automated reporting and MI
  • Coordinate improvements in reporting with Finance, Data and Systems teams
  • Review matter management activities including Client Due Diligence, engagement letters and sanctions
  • Document findings with evidence, root causes and recommendations
  • Track remediation actions with stakeholders to ensure closure
  • Build relationships with Finance, Legal, Data and Business stakeholders
  • Support wider Internal Audit assignments requiring compliance testing or financial control insight

Key requirements

  • Prior experience in compliance, internal audit, finance assurance or related field
  • Experience with data analytics and strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to review large data sets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail, professionalism and objectivity
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
