As Technical Director you will lead the data centre electrical team within a forward-thinking MEP consultancy, shaping the design of mission-critical facilities. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive high-quality, scalable electrical design for data centres while growing the internal DC team under a nationally recognised brand. The role offers autonomy, influencing project delivery and client relationships, with a focus on work-life balance and flexible working. Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a 10-person data centre design team
• Manage electrical design for large mission-critical facilities
• Oversee project delivery and technical quality across DC projects
• Collaborate with clients and other design disciplines to meet programme targets
• Drive team growth and capability development in data centre design
• Contribute to business development and client relationship management
• Support flexible and hybrid working arrangements to balance project demands

Key requirements

• 10+ years building services design experience in a UK consultancy
• Experience leading design teams and projects on large mission-critical facilities
• Industry-relevant degree
• Ability to commute to either London or Croydon
• Established data centre client base desired but not essential
