Commercial Account Executive (Marine Insurance)

Overview

As Commercial Account Executive, you will manage and grow a marine insurance book while servicing vessel owners, marinas, boatyards and related clients along UK coasts. You’ll focus on Hull and Machinery, P&I, Marine Liability and Marine Trade within a respected independent broker known for relationship-led advice. The role combines new business development with strong client retention, within a supportive, career-progressive environment. Responsibilities

• service and manage marine insurance clients (Hull & Machinery, P&I, Marine Liability, Marine Trade)
• grow the existing book with organic new business of 25k–30k per year
• achieve high renewal rates (target ~95%+)
• develop relationships with vessel owners, marinas, boat builders, yards, terminals and clubs
• work towards cross-selling and providing tailored insurance solutions
• contribute to retention and growth in a specialist broker environment
• collaborate with technical support and training resources to enhance client outcomes

Key requirements

• track record as Commercial Account Executive at an Insurance Broker
• strong background in commercial combined/package insurance
• interest in specializing in marine insurance
• focus on high client retention and renewals
• ability to grow new business and manage an inherited book
• flexibility to be based across the country with preference for South West/S Wales/South East/Midlands
