Overview

In this role you will support the Employment team by developing and maintaining knowledge resources, delivering training, and analysing developments to keep fee earners informed. You will drive efficiency through knowledge systems, risk-aware processes, and cross-team collaboration. You’ll mentor trainees and contribute to client-facing insights and tender responses, shaping the firm’s knowledge strategy. This is a research-led, impact-oriented position within a collaborative culture that values professional development and practical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain precedents and annotate external resources
  • Design and deliver internal training programmes for trainees, junior lawyers, and practice updates
  • Deliver training to clients where appropriate
  • Monitor legal developments and brief fee earners on implications
  • Manage and update knowledge materials in the firm’s database
  • Collaborate with business services to improve access to resources
  • Identify risks and work with Risk team to minimise them
  • Drive efficiencies via process optimisation, project management, or technology
  • Contribute to legal insights, articles, and tender responses
  • Coordinate with other Knowledge Lawyers to enhance knowledge systems
  • Support and mentor trainees in research and knowledge application skills

Key requirements

  • At least 5 years’ PQE in employment law
  • Strong legal drafting and attention to detail
  • Ability to digest and communicate complex information clearly
  • Confidence to work independently and in a team
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Self-motivation with a client-focused approach
  • Familiarity with tools/technology for project delivery
