Senior Project Manager, Client Change Management

Overview

As Senior Project Manager in Client Connectivity, you lead complex, multi-region client onboarding and payment projects that connect clients with HSBC’s Global Payments Solutions. You will manage top-tier clients, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive improvements in client experience and revenue timing. You’ll act as a primary liaison, ensuring smooth transitions, clear communications, and delivery excellence in a dynamic, globally distributed environment. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution, offering impact on client relationships and product delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-mandate and RFI/RFP consultation and project management for Payments, Liquidity, ERP, and Regulatory Solutions
• Lead and manage multiple complex client onboarding projects for Global Payments Solutions products
• Streamline documentation processes using GDOCs to ensure timely delivery
• Apply proactive project management methodologies and scalable design to manage global client projects
• Serve as central liaison between internal and external stakeholders across regions
• Own client relationships post-sales, managing communication through project lifecycle
• Ensure clients can operate accounts and services as expected and meet project outcomes
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Net Promoter Score
• Collaborate with Legal, Operations, IT, Sales, and Product to optimize processes and delivery
• Stay updated on payments products and technology
• Act as role model and escalation point, providing training and guidance to the team
• Drive GPS strategic priorities and maintain a healthy work-life balance under pressure

Key requirements

• Extensive experience in building effective client relationships and stakeholder management
• Proficiency in payments and liquidity product knowledge
• Previous project management experience and/or relevant qualifications
• Familiarity with design thinking principles
• Ability to manage competing deadlines effectively in real-time
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Proven ability to excel under pressure and drive initiatives forward
• Ability to drive timelines to achieve optimal time to revenue for high-value clients
• Ability to represent HSBC at Industry Events and position HSBC in treasury management
• Ability to simplify and challenge processes and contribute to NPS improvement
