Overview
In this role, you will diagnose faults in PCB assemblies to component level, driving root-cause analysis and corrective actions. You will join a small, skilled team within a fast-paced, inclusive manufacturing environment that supports a range of missile systems. Your work will improve production yield and help meet programme targets through rigorous testing and collaborative problem-solving. This is a hands-on engineering position that combines design input, test development, and production readiness in a high-reliability setting.

Responsibilities
- Perform fault diagnosis to component level on analogue and digital PCB assemblies using a mix of automated and manual test equipment
- Create test specifications and operator instructions, and maintain configuration control for new facilities
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Process, Design Engineers and other stakeholders to overcome technical challenges
- Provide test engineering input during design and development from concept to Production Readiness Review
Key requirements
- Formal technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 or Level 4 HNC/equivalent
- BEng/BSc in Engineering/Technical degree or equivalent
- Experience with electronics test and diagnosis on electronic sub-assemblies and PCBs
- Ability to interpret schematics, drawings and test documentation
- Hands-on experience with manual and automated test equipment in a high-reliability environment
- Familiarity with ERP/MES/PLM tools (e.g., SAP, MES, PLM) for logging test activity and non-conformance reports
- Desirable: experience with RF-based circuitry
