Overview

In this Fleet Support Engineer role, you improve aircraft availability by analysing fleet status and offering practical technical guidance on emerging issues. You collaborate across Maintenance Operations, Flight Operations, and Fleet Technical Management to resolve faults and keep aircraft safe and in service. You’ll support daily line activity, night stop maintenance, and AOG recovery, applying robust judgement to protect airworthiness. This position combines hands-on fault-finding with clear, actionable support to keep the fleet moving at pace. A strong hook is your ability to drive safe, swift decisions under pressure across a busy operation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide troubleshooting guidance and repair instructions for AOG/out-of-service events during line activity and night stops
  • Review maintenance records, logs and feedback to identify recurrent defects and issue technical recommendations
  • Develop work instructions with Fleet Technical Management and manufacturers when standard guidance is exhausted
  • Offer on-site support at line stations during AOG recovery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and procedures for availability and airworthiness

Key requirements

  • UK and/or EASA B2 Licence
  • A320 family authorisation (current or previous)
  • proven background in system fault-finding, including wiring checks and repairs
