HR Operations Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead a small HR team through a transformation, delivering high-quality people services across the employee lifecycle. You will manage complex employee relations and support recruitment, onboarding, and strategic initiatives. You will partner with directors to drive change, modernise systems, and promote wellbeing and engagement. Responsibilities

• Lead the People team ensuring high-quality HR service delivery across the employee lifecycle
• Oversee employee relations cases, coaching advisers on routine issues and handling complex matters
• Oversee recruitment and onboarding, acting as the escalation point for the team
• Partner with directorates to support strategic people initiatives
• Support cultural change and modernization of systems and processes
• TUPE and change management
• Support wellbeing and engagement during a period of change
• Drive key projects: EDI strategy, Line Manager Capability Programme, Behavioural Framework launch, Employee Engagement tools, Terms & Conditions review

Key requirements

• Proven HR management experience and complex ER casework expertise
• Comfortable navigating change and ambiguity
• Strong coaching and influencing skills
• Relationship builder with a proactive, people-first approach
• Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
• Experience in regulated environments welcomed
