Overview
In this role you will support the FI26 PRA Basel 3.1 implementation to ensure regulatory compliance by 1 January 2027. You will analyze and validate BA-CVA calculations from a third‑party product, work with Finance, Credit risk and IT, and contribute to end‑to‑end testing and UAT. You will document requirements and liaise with stakeholders and the vendor to validate calculations and reporting. This is a hands‑on role shaping risk capital calculations in a regulatory program with cross‑functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and validate BA-CVA calculations from the vendor product
- Document findings, processes and workflows
- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements related to SA-CCR, CCR, and regulatory capital calculations
- Engage stakeholders for review, input and sign-off
- Collaborate with technical team to document and test BA-CVA calculations
- Support end-to-end testing and UAT to validate BA-CVA calculations
- Liaise with vendor as needed
- Perform requirements gathering and compile formal Business Requirements and Functional Specification documents
- Formulate and present proposed solutions using illustrative calculations
- Develop testing approaches, test plans and test cases; perform system/integration testing and support UAT
- Compile and present test results; complete project/work-stream status reports
- Escalate issues/risks to project/line management
Key requirements
- Independent verification and end-to-end testing of Basic Approach CVA calculations
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on Credit Valuation Adjustment / Credit Risk projects
- Strong understanding of SA-CCR regulations and methodologies
- Knowledge of CVA calculations
- Ability to analyse and interpret CVA calculations
- Experience working with vendors in delivering integrated solutions
- Demonstrable experience across the project lifecycle: requirements, testing, and documentation
