Overview

In this role you will lead Knight Frank’s corporate ESG disclosures, ensuring high-quality, compliant reporting across voluntary and regulatory frameworks. You will collaborate with UK and global teams to collect data, manage ESG data systems, and embed climate targets into internal and external disclosures. The role combines hands-on data work with strategic oversight of the global ESG program, including the net-zero initiative. You will guide a junior team member and engage senior stakeholders to drive transparent ESG performance.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and continuously improve ESG disclosures across frameworks (GRI, CDP, TCFD, ISSB/IFRS, CSRD, SECR)
  • Lead development and rollout of ESG data management systems with IT and internal partners
  • Coordinate ESG data collection across UK and global teams; ensure governance, consistency and data quality
  • Advise on carbon management and embed climate performance tracking into reporting
  • Support external materials like Annual ESG/Sustainability Report and climate disclosures
  • Stay updated on ESG regulations and market expectations; advise on readiness
  • Serve as main contact for external ESG raters/disclosure platforms (CDP, EcoVadis, Sustainalytics) and coordinate data assurance
  • Line manage one ESG team member and oversee daily reporting workstreams
  • Contribute to internal ESG communications and training to raise awareness of data needs and progress

Key requirements

  • 5–7 years of ESG reporting or sustainability experience
  • Broad understanding of ESG issues relevant to global real estate and professional services
  • Proven experience with ESG disclosures aligned to GRI, TCFD, ISSB, CSRD, SECR
  • Strong knowledge of carbon and energy management and climate reporting (Scope 1–3, net-zero)
  • Experience with ESG data platforms or digital reporting systems (e.g., Sphera, Microsoft Sustainability Manager)
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional coordination skills
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement abilities; comfortable presenting to non-experts
  • Experience in people management or mentoring
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting/visualisation tools (Power BI); data assurance experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or related field; advanced degree or ESG certifications preferred
