Overview

In this fixed-term role at MAG, you will lead the Cash & Banking function within Group Finance to ensure strong controls and reliable processing. You will manage a small team, collaborate with stakeholders across MAG’s three airport sites, and drive continuous improvement of treasury processes. You will handle cash reconciliations, bank accounts, and cash journals while optimising SAP usage. Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of three colleagues
  • Maintain governance for balance sheet reconciliations across three sites
  • Oversee timely bank reconciliations and resolve cash discrepancies
  • Manage manual payments and ensure correct cash receipts/payments allocation
  • Reconcile and post sales and cash journals to ledgers
  • Lead monthly cash, trade debtor, and balance sheet reconciliations including cash in transit
  • Monitor cash inflows and obtain missing remittance information
  • Support Accounts Receivable activities (invoicing, debt collection, cash allocation)
  • Collaborate to optimise SAP usage across the business
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise, and automate processes
  • Drive efficient and consistent transactional processing across Treasury

Key requirements

  • Experience in treasury, cash and banking or wider finance within medium/large organisations
  • Previous experience leading, coaching or supervising a team
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Controls-focused mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions
  • Interest in continuous improvement and process optimisation
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Working knowledge of SAP and progress toward treasury qualification (ACT) would be advantageous
