Lead thelaunch of a new residential addiction service and shape somethingfrom the ground up.

Priory is opening Horizon House inNottingham, and we’re looking for an experiencedService Manager to play a pivotal rolein bringing it to life.

The successful candidate will be required tobecome the CQC Registered Manager forHorizon House, holding overall responsibility for the safe,effective and compliant operation of theservice.

KeyResponsibilities

As Service Manager, you willlead the day-to-day running of this therapy-led residentialservice, creating a safe, supportive and high-performingenvironment for clients andcolleagues.

You will hold overall responsibility forquality, regulatory compliance, safeguarding, workforce andoperational performance, working closely with the Therapy Lead andwider leadership team to deliver consistently strongoutcomes.

You will alsotake ownership of the service’scommercial performance anddevelopment, including staffing, occupancy and budget control,while building strong relationships with commissioners, referrersand professional partners.

Designed for individuals who do not requiremedical detox or ongoing clinical intervention, the programmefocuses on structured therapy, meaningful community connection, andpractical tools to support lasting recovery.

Skills, Knowledge &Expertise

We are looking for anexperienced service leader with a strong understanding of addictiontreatment and recovery, together with the operational judgement andleadership capability needed to take full accountability for aregulated residential service.

You will be comfortable leading specialistand multidisciplinary colleagues, including professionals whoseclinical or therapeutic expertise may sit outside your ownprofessional background, while maintaining clear accountability forservice quality, consistency andperformance.

We’reparticularly interested in candidates whohave:

  • Significant experience within addiction or substancemisuse services
  •  A proven track record asa Service Manager, or equivalent senior operational leader, withina regulated care, treatment or specialist service 
  •  Strong knowledge of CQC requirements, safeguarding,governance and quality standards
  •  Experience of leading multidisciplinary orspecialist teams
  • Strong communication andstakeholder-management skills, including working with externalprofessionals and partners
  • A clear commitmentto person-centred, recovery-focused care

It would bebeneficial (but not essential) if you alsohave:

  •  Previous experience as a CQC RegisteredManager
  •  Experience of opening,mobilising or developing a residential service 
  •  Experience working with Local Authoritycommissioners
  •  A service-specificqualification in addiction 
  •  Professional registration such as NMC, HCPC orSocial Work England
