As Site Manager, you will oversee the delivery of residential developments from construction through completion, ensuring safety, programme, and quality. You will lead a on-site team and coordinate subcontractors to meet milestones for an Aberdeen-based house builder. Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the construction site
- Plan and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site resources
- Ensure construction programmes and key milestones are achieved
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and procedures
- Manage site inductions, inspections and site documentation
- Monitor progress and identify issues before they affect programme or quality
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers and other project stakeholders
- Carry out regular quality inspections and address defects promptly
- Manage materials and deliveries efficiently
- Keep accurate site records and provide progress updates to senior management
- Lead and motivate the site team to achieve project objectives
- Ensure completed homes are ready for handover to the required standard
Key requirements
- Experience as Site Manager in house building/residential construction
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing and residential build processes
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety requirements
- Ability to manage subcontractors and site teams effectively
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Keen eye for quality and attention to detail
- Ability to work to demanding programmes and deadlines
- Practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
- Relevant construction qualifications and a valid CSCS/SMSTS qualification
- Full UK driving licence
