Overview
In this role you will lead Cheltenham shop floor operations to deliver safe, high-quality products on time and at target cost. You will align production programs with divisional goals, coach production managers, and drive continuous improvement to world-class standards. You will shape processes that balance customer needs with operational metrics, while fostering a collaborative, safety-focused culture. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical manufacturing know-how with strategic planning to support the business mission.

Responsibilities
- Overall ownership of safety, quality, cost and on-time delivery of products
- Coordinate projects and production programs to meet plant objectives
- Lead improvement efforts using Eaton tools (EBS, ELS, EQS, Six Sigma)
- Support Production Managers with planning, appraisal and training to raise organizational capability
- Establish quality controls and process verification to ensure product quality
- Provide a safe working environment compliant with legal and MESH requirements
- Develop and monitor value streams and goals to boost plant performance
- Foster leadership and a constructive work environment to reduce cost and increase throughput
- Guide development and improvement of processes to meet stakeholder needs
- Manage budgets and controls for expenses and capital
- Maintain high morale and a positive work climate aligned with Eaton philosophy
- Drive continuous improvement culture and management excellence
- Support operational strategy to hit cost and volume targets
- Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Manager
Key requirements
- Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) and order generation logic
- Understanding of supply chain management for production planning, scheduling, purchasing, inventory, logistics, stockroom, shipping/receiving
- Experience implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes
- Strategic planning, business acumen, customer and commercial awareness
- Ability to lead cross-functional process improvement teams
- Multiple years of related professional and supervisory/managerial experience
