Overview
As Operations Manager at Chartis Research, you will lead day-to-day operations to drive efficiency and scalability across research production, client success, sales operations, finance support, and team leadership. You’ll work with the Managing Director and senior stakeholders to coordinate multiple functions and uphold high-quality outputs. The role focuses on improving processes, resolving bottlenecks, and enabling proactive operational delivery for a global, dispersed team. Responsibilities
- Oversee research production schedules and ensure milestones are met
- Manage end-to-end publication workflows with analyst, editorial, and design teams
- Ensure outputs are delivered accurately and to high quality standards
- Identify and resolve workflow bottlenecks to protect delivery timelines
- Maintain the research archive with secure, accessible records
- Oversee onboarding for employees, clients and vendors
- Coordinate operational handovers for a seamless onboarding experience
- Manage relationships with operational vendors and service providers
- Support client success to maintain high service levels
- Prepare and review operational and financial reports for decision-making
- Manage invoice approval workflows and support finance administration
- Provide day-to-day operational support to the Managing Director
- Act as a central point of contact for operational matters across the business
- Support CRM administration, data integrity and sales process management
- Produce sales pipeline reporting and performance analysis
- Collaborate with commercial teams to improve reporting and efficiency
- Help optimise sales workflows and revenue operations
- Manage, coach and develop a geographically dispersed team
- Set objectives and KPIs; conduct performance reviews and development discussions
- Oversee workload allocation, resource planning and prioritisation
- Promote cross-team collaboration across time zones
- Identify, investigate and resolve operational issues proactively
- Review, document and improve processes and workflows
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging technology and AI-enabled tools
Key requirements
- Previous Operations Manager or similar leadership role
- Experience managing processes across multiple business functions
- Experience supporting reporting, project management, sales operations and business administration
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Power BI, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Experience with AI-enabled productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Claude)
- Strong organizational and prioritisation skills; ability to manage multiple workstreams
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
