Overview

In this role you will lead the delivery of facilities services at North Middlesex University Hospital, ensuring contractual performance and high-quality service. You will manage staff, subcontractors, and client relations while keeping financial controls and safety compliance. The position focuses on cost efficiency, continuous service improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities

  • Oversee designated facilities service to contract specification and company procedures
  • Manage subcontractors and ensure contract compliance with client protocols
  • Control contractual performance and commercial activity, including penalties and changes
  • Lead budgeting, cost control, and profitability through financial management
  • Assist in budgets, business plans and departmental strategies
  • HR management for staff, maintaining liaison with HR Manager and handling appraisals and disciplinary matters
  • Lead service delivery and maintain high standards of customer care and professionalism
  • Supervise subcontracted services, ensure safety and timely work completion
  • Complete paperwork and conduct regular service review meetings
  • Prepare quotations, estimates, and tenders; process accounts post-projects
  • Ensure equipment safety checks and maintenance schedules
  • Maintain COSHH and Risk Assessments and health and safety documentation

Key requirements

  • Proven background in Facilities Management
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Electrical bias
  • Ability to understand Local Authority legislation
  • Strong verbal, written and numeric skills; computer literate
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders and delegate effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment
