You’ll split time between advisory work and advocacy, supporting investigations and policy development. Responsibilities
- Appear before regulatory tribunals and courts, including the High Court
- Prepare hearing documentation such as skeleton arguments and opening notes
- Advise on progression and management of regulatory investigations
- Draft and approve allegations for regulatory tribunals
- Provide regulatory advisory support and contribute to policy development
- Potential to develop a practice as a legal adviser to regulatory panels
Key requirements
- Qualified solicitor, barrister or CILEX advocate
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in contested or uncontested hearings in regulatory/fitness to practise context
- Strong technical expertise and analytical ability
- Excellent advocacy skills with confidence before tribunals and courts
