Overview
As a Lift Engineer, you will service, maintain, install and fault-find lift systems across customer sites. You will work independently in a field-based role, upholding high standards of workmanship and safety. You’ll diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, install new equipment, and test/commission lifts, contributing to reliable access and customer satisfaction. This role offers hands-on impact, on-site autonomy, and clear progression within a dedicated engineering team.

Responsibilities
- Servicing and maintaining lift systems
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
- Installing new lift systems and associated equipment
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Carrying out fault-finding, repairs and component replacement
- Testing and commissioning lift equipment
- Identifying technical issues and resolving them efficiently
- Carrying out safety checks and ensuring equipment is operating correctly
- Working in accordance with industry standards, regulations and company procedures
- Providing professional customer service on-site
- Completing service reports and documentation
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and professionalism
Key requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering
- Proven experience as Lift Engineer
- Experience in lift servicing and maintenance
- Experience with lift installation
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability
- Good technical understanding of lift systems and components
- Ability to diagnose and resolve faults independently
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to work independently at customer sites
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
