Overview

In this role you will provide analytical financial support to the Supply Chain & Operations at the Cramlington plant, helping to maintain robust budgeting, forecasting and reporting to control costs. You will work closely with the Plant Controller to drive improvements in operations finance and ensure accurate financials for the plant. You will engage in SOX-compliant inventory controls, cost reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to enable sustainable performance. This position combines hands-on analysis with process improvements in a multinational manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical financial support for the Plant Productivity stream and drive loss reporting; assist with inventory management and capital reporting
  • Support the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process for MOE, losses and SG&A, and deliver quarterly forecasts
  • Complete month-end processes including losses and inventory adjustments, track savings, manage manpower reporting and bonus accruals
  • Maintain strict financial controls and SOX compliance as Process Owner for Inventory Controls; monitor cycle count accuracy
  • Assist Plant Controller in process improvements in operations finance and support BI and continuous improvement initiatives with SSC/Accenture

Key requirements

  • Degree with professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ICAEW)
  • 1–3 years post-qualification experience in manufacturing or blue-chip firm
  • Advanced user of Excel and Google Sheets in a fast-paced multinational finance environment
  • Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
  • Dynamic, proactive, detail-conscious and results-driven with a can-do attitude
  • Strong relationship-building across plant teams and stakeholders
