Overview
As Procurement Lead in Wise’s Third Party Management team, you will build and lead the Marketing & Events category, shaping a best-in-class global procurement function from the ground up. You’ll partner with internal stakeholders, drive cost reductions, and implement innovative procurement technologies to improve efficiency. This role combines strategic sourcing, risk mitigation, and supplier enablement to support Wise’s mission of money without borders. You’ll work hands-on in a fast-growing, inclusive environment with significant ownership of the category.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute long-term procurement strategies aligned with business goals
- Lead market analysis to anticipate supply and demand shifts
- Build and manage supplier relationships cross-functionally
- Drive cost reductions and spend optimization across categories
- Evaluate suppliers against quality, price, and reliability criteria
- Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation and renegotiation of contracts
- Support risk mitigation strategies for supply chain disruptions
- Promote sustainable and ethical sourcing and ensure regulatory compliance
- Champion procurement technology adoption and process automation
- Mentor and develop procurement peers to foster continuous improvement
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Stay informed on industry best practices and leverage them to improve processes
Key requirements
- Experience leading commercial strategies for related categories
- Track record of achieving commercial targets (savings, supplier consolidation, cash management)
- Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills
- Ability to advise on and report risks with practical mitigation approaches
- Experience with sourcing tools, market analysis, and end-to-end procurement processes
- Ability to summarise complex sourcing scenarios clearly and influence stakeholders
