Overview

In this role, you will lead and own the design and delivery of water and wastewater projects within the AMP8 programme, from outline design through to handover, balancing technical, commercial, and constructability aspects. You’ll work within a project triangle with Site Manager and Quantity Surveyor and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with quality standards. The position offers long-term stability, a clear path to chartership, and a strong integration of design and construction. You will build client relationships and mentor junior engineers in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery from outline through commissioning and handover
  • Operate within a project triangle to balance technical, commercial and constructability considerations
  • Coordinate civil, mechanical, electrical, process and BIM teams
  • Ensure delivery on programme, budget and quality standards
  • Contribute to discipline-specific design where required
  • Mentor junior engineers and support team development
  • Build strong client stakeholder relationships and promote a one-team approach
  • Maintain compliance with CDM 2015 Designer/Principal Designer duties

Key requirements

  • Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Process)
  • Incorporated Engineer (or working towards chartership)
  • Experience delivering water or wastewater projects
  • Outline and/or detailed design experience
  • Knowledge of CDM 2015 Designer / Principal Designer duties
