In this role you will deliver high-quality electrical building services design and power distribution, supporting diverse projects across Scotland from a home-based setup. You will collaborate with clients, project teams and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with standards and regulatory requirements. The position offers varied projects, including MoD and MOJ sectors, with meaningful technical responsibility and client exposure. You will contribute to meetings, refine technical documentation, and shape solutions that fit each client context. Responsibilities
- Deliver electrical building services and power distribution design
- Perform electrical calculations and analysis
- Create schematics, drawings, diagrams and models
- Prepare specifications and technical documentation
- Engage with clients, contractors, and project teams
- Provide technical input at project and client meetings
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Apply relevant legislation, standards, regulations and best practices
Key requirements
- Degree or recognised qualification in electrical engineering or equivalent (consideration for practical progression with qualifications)
- Strong experience in electrical building services design
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to contribute confidently to technical and client meetings
- Solid understanding of relevant legislation, standards and guidance
