Overview

As a Senior LNG Market Analyst at Kpler, you will ensure accurate, deep LNG market data and translate complex trade datasets into actionable insights for global clients. You will work within the Gas & LNG market operations team, collaborating with Product, Engineering, News, and Sales to shape platform enhancements and strengthen data-driven decision making. Your focus on data quality, trend analysis, and client-facing demonstrations supports Kpler’s mission to deliver top-tier intelligence across energy markets. This role offers the chance to influence product direction while engaging with a wide network of internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain data accuracy and platform coverage across cargo data and emerging LNG sectors
• Perform advanced dataset analysis on large, unstructured trade datasets to identify market trends
• Drive product roadmap collaboration by translating market observations into technical improvements
• Support sales enablement and client engagement through technical demonstrations
• Track market events and ensure data models reflect real-time market realities
• Foster cross-functional collaboration with internal News and Insight teams and external industry networks

Key requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Market Analyst focused on Gas or LNG markets; energy commodities experience advantageous
• Strong technical proficiency with Excel; practical knowledge of SQL and programming languages such as Python or VBA
• Proven ability to analyze large, complex, and unstructured datasets to inform strategic decisions
• Self-starter with a commitment to data accuracy and agility
• Strong logical thinking and attention to detail
• Experience presenting data findings and platform features to external clients and commercial stakeholders
