Senior Data Scientist

Overview

In this Senior Data Scientist role, you design and implement advanced data science and ML solutions to tackle business challenges. You will own project streams, define deliverables and timelines, and present updates to client steering committees. You’ll mentor teammates on code quality, deployment, and best practices, while architecting scalable, cloud-based solutions with MLOps. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven outcomes and deliver impactful models at scale. This is an opportunity to shape analytics delivery within a leading data-and-AI consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced data science and ML solutions to solve complex business problems
• Own project streams from deliverables to timelines and present updates to client steering committees
• Mentor and supervise team members on code, deployment, and best practices
• Architect and deploy scalable solutions using cloud technologies and MLOps principles

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or related quantitative field
• Experience supervising teams and delivering projects with stakeholder communication
• Proven ability with models such as time-series, gradient boosting, clustering, NLP, Bayesian inference
• Strong ML-Ops experience: orchestration, experiment tracking, hyper-parameter tuning, automated retraining pipelines
• Proficiency in Python (OO), Polars/PySpark, DVC, data storage design, and object-oriented SQL interfaces
• Cloud and DevOps experience with at least two major providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), Terraform, CI/CD, containerisation
