Overview

In this role you will lead the electrical maintenance team within a large facilities management setting, driving planned maintenance and quick fault resolution. You will ensure electrical systems are compliant and well-documented, while maintaining professional relationships with clients. The position offers responsibility for out-of-hours standby and coordinating subcontractors, with a clear impact on building reliability and safety. Responsibilities

  • Lead the electrical engineering team to achieve maintenance targets
  • Perform electrical fault finding, diagnosis, repairs and reactive maintenance
  • Maintain electrical and mechanical systems, statutory compliance, site records and safe systems of work
  • Manage client requests, quotations, reports and subcontractor activities
  • Maintain professional onsite image and foster good relationships
  • Operate Permit to Work systems per client procedures
  • Provide holiday and sickness cover and participate in out-of-hours standby rota
  • Support flexible shift patterns

Key requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installations (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in a similar role
  • BS7671 18th Edition and AM2 Electrical Inspection and Testing
  • Desirable: 2391 inspection and testing
  • Experience leading engineers and managing subcontractors
  • Competent reading of electrical drawings and use of CAFM systems
  • Ability to act as Competent Person for designated electrical duties
  • Customer focused, organized, able to work under pressure
  • Fluent in English
