Senior Engineering Lead, Index Distribution

Overview

In this role you will build and evolve a modern, cloud-native index distribution platform on AWS that reliably delivers high-quality index products to clients worldwide. You’ll work within the engineering team to design scalable distribution channels, analytics, and data stores, while ensuring governance and secure delivery. You mentor junior developers and help shape a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Responsibilities

• Design, build and scale the next-gen index distribution platform for reliable client consumption
• Develop cloud-native, secure architectures on AWS
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases and modern Lakehouse concepts (Iceberg)
• Design scalable data models with data governance
• Mentor peers, participate in code reviews and foster a quality-driven engineering culture
• Collaborate with global teams to define cross-functional solutions across cloud, data, and analytics
• Embed testing into the development process and drive automated/integrated test cases
• Partner with upstream/downstream teams to implement end-to-end functionality
• Deliver high-quality software on time and within budget
• Support a cross-functional, agile delivery approach and continuous improvement
• Drive innovative designs to enhance product experiences for clients

Key requirements

• Experience in financial and capital markets context is valued
• Solid UI experience in Angular (8+), JavaScript, HTML/CSS
• Proficiency in Python, Java, TypeScript, SQL, APIs, microservices, containers
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, Glue, EKS, SQS, SNS)
• Backend and frontend development with a focus on data distribution use cases
• Stakeholder management and ability to influence key decision makers
• Exposure to databases including PostgreSQL, SQL Server, DynamoDB
• Strong testing mindset and ability to drive quality through automated tests
