Family Lawyer (Solicitor / Legal Executive)

Overview

In this role you will handle a spectrum of complex family and matrimonial matters, with a focus on divorce, children issues, and financial orders. You will join a busy, friendly family team in a Yorkshire-based firm and leverage exposure to the Leeds Matrimonial market. The position offers meaningful work in a reputable practice and opportunities to contribute to high-quality family law solutions. You will work closely with colleagues to support clients through sensitive proceedings and financial arrangements, shaping outcomes in a challenging area of law.

Responsibilities

• handle divorce, children matters and financial orders within a busy family team
• advise clients on complex family law issues
• contribute to high-quality outcomes in matrimonial matters
• work collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues to manage caseloads
• develop familiarity with the Leeds Matrimonial market
• support senior lawyers with case preparation and strategy

Key requirements

• Solicitor or CILEX qualification
• 1–5 PQE
• experience in Divorce and Children Law
• knowledge of financial matters in family law
• advantageous to have Leeds Matrimonial market exposure
• Resolution membership or accreditation is a plus
