Manager – Data Science & AI – AI & Data – Technology Consulting – Belfast

Overview

In this role, you lead multidisciplinary Data & AI initiatives to turn data into trusted, scalable AI solutions. You’ll work across service lines to solve complex problems for clients and improve decision-making through AI. You’ll drive engagements from problem framing to production, ensuring quality, security and responsible AI. You will mentor teams, develop opportunities, and contribute to EY’s broader data & AI capabilities. This is a collaborative, impact‑oriented leadership position with a clear focus on value for clients and society.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI & ML engagements from problem definition through development and implementation
• Translate complex challenges into practical analytical use cases and communicate approaches to stakeholders
• Provide technical direction across machine learning and generative AI to ensure scalable, robust solutions
• Move solutions from experimentation into production with security and responsible AI considerations
• Manage delivery plans, budgets, resources and risks while maintaining client relationships and quality
• Build innovative insights to add value for clients and society
• Identify opportunities to better serve clients and foster external relationships across service lines
• Lead and coach the Belfast capability, adapting leadership style and managing risk and issues

Key requirements

• Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience
• Significant experience delivering data science, ML or AI solutions
• Proven experience leading complex projects and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong knowledge of the analytical lifecycle and proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with cloud-based data and AI services and moving solutions into production
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including explaining technical concepts clearly
• Experience coaching and developing others and growing the team
