Overview
As an M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will support commercial activities on a multi-disciplinary project in Somerset, ensuring cost control and timely delivery. You’ll work with task order managers, monitor performance, and manage change using established processes. The role integrates with regulated and nuclear-focused environments, emphasizing safety, quality, and digital construction methods. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to safeguard project value and deliver robust cost advice.

Responsibilities
- Provide commercial support to Task Order Package Managers and Planners in a multi-disciplinary team
- Monitor planned versus actual trade production and performance
- Identify and mitigate delays and manage change, including updating cost registers
- Undertake site walk-rounds and toolbox talks to maintain on-site standards
- Utilise CEMAR for contractual communications
- Assist in the preparation of Applications for Payment and audit of Defined Cost
Key requirements
- Chartered Surveyor, RICS APC candidate or MC/Member of the Association of Cost Engineers (preferred)
- Time-served QS with knowledge of industrial M&E installations
- Experience in nuclear sector or highly regulated industries; familiar with NEC Contracts and progression/risk management
