Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Private Client department and set strategic direction
• Manage a mixed caseload: wills, trusts, probate, estate administration, court of protection
• Drive growth and build the team, including recruitment when needed
• Collaborate with marketing and networking teams to generate business
• Support long-term expansion plans and maintain high service standards
• Provide governance and supervision for junior lawyers if applicable

Key requirements

• Qualified Private Client Solicitor with 8+ years PQE
• Ambitious and entrepreneurial with a drive to lead and grow a department
• Comfortable developing business and generating work within a supportive environment
• Team leadership or supervision experience desirable but not essential
