Business Development Manager

Overview

In this role you drive strategic business development for key practice groups within a leading international law firm. You will cultivate trusted advisor relationships with Partners and practice teams, translating client needs into growth opportunities and coordinating BD plans across the firm. You’ll support pitches, RFP responses, and marketing efforts to raise the firm’s profile and win new work. This is a cross-functional, high-visibility role that leverages collaboration and project management to sustain growth and an inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic BD plans for practice groups ( Banking & Credit, Corporate M&A/Private Equity, Funds)
• Nurture priority client relationships and manage pipeline for opportunities
• Support Partners with best-in-class pitches and RFP responses
• Plan and execute BD initiatives, client targeting, and events
• Coordinate directory submissions, surveys, and PR initiatives
• Create, maintain and distribute marketing collateral
• Collaborate with Director of Business Development and other BDMs to align with firm initiatives
• Prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Key requirements

• Demonstrable BD success in a high-performance professional services environment, ideally in an international law firm
• Proven ability to cultivate and manage client relationships within transactional practices
• Strong attention to detail, project management and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication with capability to advise at Partner level
