Overview

In this Credit Risk Analyst role, you will assess and monitor credit risk across Premier Foods’ Accounts Receivable portfolio to protect cash flow and enable sustainable growth. You’ll influence decision-making through insight gathered from financial analysis and risk indicators, collaborating with Credit & Collections, Commercial and Finance teams. The position emphasizes understanding narratives behind numbers, spotting emerging risks, and driving data-driven decisions. It’s a chance to deepen credit risk expertise within a transformed, specialist Financial Operations function.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct end-to-end credit assessments for new and existing customers, including due diligence and risk evaluation
  • Analyze financial statements, payment performance, and external market intelligence to inform risk decisions
  • Assess creditworthiness and set credit limits, payment terms and risk classifications
  • Monitor and manage a portfolio of customer accounts, spotting changes in risk exposure and performance
  • Perform regular credit reviews and recommend actions based on risk profiles
  • Identify emerging risks and ensure timely escalation of issues
  • Collaborate with Credit & Collections to support collection strategies and working capital performance
  • Support Commercial teams to balance growth with prudent risk management
  • Provide analysis on high-risk or deteriorating accounts and maintain governance-compliant credit data
  • Contribute to risk reporting, portfolio reviews, and stakeholder insights
  • Identify process improvements to strengthen controls and governance

Key requirements

  • Experience in Credit Risk, Underwriting, Credit Management or Commercial Credit environments
  • Strong financial analysis skills (balance sheets, P&L, cash flow)
  • Experience assessing creditworthiness and managing credit exposure
  • Solid understanding of credit risk concepts and working capital management
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Confidence in communicating recommendations and influencing stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and commercial judgment
