Responsibilities
- Manage litigated and pre-litigated clinical negligence cases
- Conduct investigations to repudiate and/or conclude claims
- Liaise with claimants, solicitors, clients, counsel and medical experts
- Obtain documentation and instruct experts
- Lead or contribute to business development and operational initiatives
- Complete MI procedures and adhere to client protocols
- Meet financial and chargeable targets
- Ensure deadlines, quality standards and KPIs are met
- Support and develop junior lawyers
- Work in line with the firm’s values and policies
Key requirements
- Qualified solicitor with at least 5 years’ PQE
- Genuine interest in the healthcare sector
- Strong technical knowledge of clinical negligence and CPR
- Excellent communication and client handling skills
- Rigorous analytical ability and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritise, multi-task and meet strict deadlines
