Overview
In this role you will service, maintain and repair fire alarm systems across commercial and residential settings, ensuring compliance with BS5839 standards. You will work as part of a team to diagnose faults, commission panels, and support security systems, with regular on-call emergency coverage. Responsibilities
- Programme and commission Advanced panels (50+ devices)
- Diagnose and resolve faults across systems (Advanced, Kentec, C-Tec, Apollo, Hochiki)
- Attend emergency call-outs as part of team rota
- Maintain accurate digital service records
- Provide occasional support with security systems (Texecom, Galaxy, Paxton)
- Carry out servicing and maintenance in line with BS5839 standards
Key requirements
- At least 3 years’ experience in fire alarm servicing and maintenance
- Background with fire alarm systems such as Advanced, C-Tec, Kentec, Apollo, Hochiki
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete compliance forms
- Experience with security systems (Texecom, Galaxy, Paxton) would be beneficial
- Previous roles as Fire Alarm Engineer, Fire Engineer, Fire & Security Engineer, or Service Engineer
