Overview
In this long-term rail contract, you will lead on-site works and coordinate with clients to ensure safe, compliant delivery. You will bridge on-site activities with office duties, shaping project execution across multiple locations. Your focus is on rail civils, interpreting drawings and enforcing high standards of safety and productivity. This role offers meaningful impact through hands-on site leadership and cross-functional collaboration, within a dynamic rail environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage site works efficiently and effectively
- Serve as the primary on-site contact, communicating with clients and providing updates
- Oversee rail works including UTX, URX, troughing, REB’s, and drainage
- Interpret engineering drawings and principles to ensure accurate execution
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Supervise site staff and maintain high safety and productivity standards
- Coordinate office-based tasks related to site management
- Maintain flexibility to work across various locations as projects demand
Key requirements
- Experience in Rail Civils as a Sub Agent, Site Manager, or Site Agent
- Understanding of engineering principles, including levels and gradients
- Experience in managing site works within the rail sector
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Excellent communication and client liaison skills
- Strong organisational and leadership abilities
- Capability to handle both office-based and site-based tasks
