As a Principal Fire Protection Engineer, you will lead design and delivery of fire safety solutions for diverse projects in a consultancy environment. Responsibilities

• Prepare design packages for various RIBA stages (design drawings, technical specs, design reports, hydraulic calculations)
• Develop Fire Suppression Systems solutions for building and industrial projects
• Perform calculations for sprinkler water supplies and gas suppression quantities
• Lead remote project delivery teams
• Prepare fee proposals for Fire Systems design at RIBA Stages 1–7
• Conduct technical reviews
• Assist in resolving design problems including field investigations or inspections
• Effectively communicate with project teams, clients, authorities, contractors and third parties
• Project manage delivery of projects of varying scale

Key requirements

• Relevant degree or professional qualification
• Work experience in a similar consultancy or relevant business
• Knowledge of British and International design standards and Building regulations
• Knowledge and experience of Fire Suppression Systems (various types)
• Strong written and oral communication; analytical skills
• Proficiency with design software (Word; Excel; CAD; REVIT; hydraulics software)
