Transport Network Planner

Overview

In this role you design and manage efficient transport plans across a multi-site network to meet customer expectations and optimise delivery performance. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure cost-effective routing and reliable service, while driving KPI and SLA targets. You’ll contribute to continuous improvement and help keep the network moving in a fast-paced logistics environment. This is a collaborative, impact-driven role at a global logistics leader with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop efficient, cost-effective transport plans across multiple sites to optimise routing and profitability
• Prioritise and manage daily customer orders, coordinating with customers to schedule deliveries and meet service requirements
• Build understanding of customer profiles, delivery patterns, and network requirements to optimise routes and resource use
• Collaborate with transport, warehouse, customer service teams, DHL customers and end delivery points to ensure smooth execution and high customer satisfaction
• Drive network performance by achieving KPIs and SLAs and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across the network

Key requirements

• Experience in transport route planning across a multi-site network
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with ability to adapt to changing requirements
• Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines with high accuracy
• Proficient IT user with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams; familiarity with transport planning systems (training provided)
• Excellent communication and organisational skills enabling cross-functional collaboration
