They’re looking for a strong Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with solid experience across mechanical systems and hydraulics.

This is a hands-on role working across a busy production environment, where you’ll be responsible for keeping a wide range of machinery running reliably and getting stuck into genuine mechanical fault-finding.

And if you want to maximise your earnings, there’s plenty of optional weekend overtime available.

Shift pattern

No scheduled weekend working.

What you’ll be doing

  • Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a wide range of production equipment.

  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.

  • Working on pumps, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, valves and mechanical drive systems.

  • Responding to breakdowns and minimising production downtime.

  • Supporting machinery upgrades, installations and commissioning projects.

  • Identifying recurring faults and contributing to root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.

  • Working alongside electrical engineers and production teams to resolve complex issues.

  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety and accurate maintenance records.

What we’re looking for

  • Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent.

  • Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.

  • Good knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

  • Experience with pumps, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors and mechanical power transmission.

  • A methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving faults.

  • Electrical knowledge would be advantageous.

  • PLC fault-finding experience would be beneficial but isn’t essential.

What’s on offer

  • £51,000 – £53,500 basic salary

  • Attendance Allowance

  • Optional weekend overtime

  • Time and a half for weekend overtime

  • Double time after 8 hours

  • 12-hour rotating shifts

  • No scheduled weekend working

  • Rest days mid week

  • 30 days’ annual leave including bank holidays, increasing with service

  • Private healthcare

  • Life insurance

  • Enhanced company sick pay

  • First Aider allowance

  • Fully funded training and further qualifications

  • PLC training and development opportunities

  • Major investment and continuous improvement projects
