Quantity Surveyor – Commercial Fit Out – London

Overview

In this role you will oversee the commercial and financial aspects of fit-out projects, ensuring profitability through cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and value management. You will collaborate with clients, PMs and design teams to maintain cost transparency and timely reporting. You will manage procurement, contract administration and change control, while mentoring junior team members to uphold best practices. The position sits with a leading fit-out contractor active in offices, HE and science facilities, offering impactful work at scale in central London.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cost planning, budgeting, forecasting and value management to ensure profitability
• Manage procurement processes, tender evaluations, subcontractor negotiations, contracts, variations and payments
• Monitor project costs against budgets and provide financial reporting to senior management and clients
• Liaise with clients, project managers and design teams to maintain cost transparency and timely reporting
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior surveyors and commercial team members

Key requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role with a main contractor
• 3+ years’ experience in commercial fit-out or similar projects
• Relevant degree level quantity surveying qualifications
